Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 29, 2026
Overview
Maven AAC is an offline-first augmentative and alternative communication app. The app is designed so communication boards, profiles, settings, custom tile images, and related AAC content are stored on your device unless you choose to export or share them.
Information Stored on Your Device
Maven AAC may store app content locally, including profile names, board layouts, tile labels, speech settings, display settings, custom images selected from your photo library or camera, and local prediction data used to improve suggestions in the app. This information is stored in the app's local database and file storage on your device.
Maven AAC does not require an account and does not operate a cloud service for syncing your boards or profiles.
Data We Do Not Collect
Maven AAC does not collect account registration information, contact lists, device location, advertising identifiers, or app usage analytics. The app does not use third-party advertising and does not sell personal information.
Photos, Camera, and Files
If you grant permission, Maven AAC can access your photo library or camera so you can add images to communication tiles or profiles. Selected or captured images are used for the AAC content you create and are kept locally by the app.
The app also supports importing and exporting Maven AAC profile package files. Exported files may include profile details, boards, tile labels, custom media, and prediction data. When you export or share a file, you control where that file is saved or who receives it.
Purchases
Maven AAC may offer paid features. Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, and subscription or purchase entitlement status may be managed through RevenueCat. Maven AAC does not receive your full payment card details.
Apple, Google, and RevenueCat may process purchase-related data such as product identifiers, transaction identifiers, entitlement status, purchase dates, and renewal or restoration status so premium access can be provided and restored. Their handling of purchase information is governed by their own privacy practices.
Sharing
Maven AAC does not share your local profiles, boards, tile labels, custom images, or prediction data with our servers. You may choose to export or share a Maven AAC profile package, and in that case you control where the exported file is saved or who receives it.
If you contact support by email, the information you choose to include in your message will be received and used to respond to your request.
Data Security
Maven AAC stores app data in the app's local database and file storage on your device. Access to photos, camera, and files is controlled by your device permissions. Exported profile files may contain AAC content and media, so you should share them only with people or services you trust.
Purchase and support communications are handled by the relevant platform or service provider. We expect third parties that process purchase or support information to protect that information according to their published privacy and security practices.
Children's Privacy
Maven AAC may be used by children with the support of a parent, guardian, caregiver, educator, or clinician. Because the app is offline-first and does not require accounts, Maven AAC does not knowingly collect children's personal information on its own servers.
Your Choices
You can delete app data by removing profiles, deleting custom content inside the app, or uninstalling Maven AAC from your device. You can also manage camera, photo library, and file access permissions in your device settings.
You can revoke camera, photo library, and file access through your device settings at any time. If you need help with privacy choices or a support request that included personal information, contact us at developer.vif@gmail.com.
Retention and Deletion
Local app data remains on your device until you delete it in the app, remove the related profile or content, or uninstall Maven AAC. Exported profile files remain wherever you save or share them and must be deleted from those locations separately.
Support emails are retained only as long as reasonably needed to respond to the request, maintain support records, and satisfy legal or operational requirements. Purchase records are retained by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat according to their own retention practices.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as Maven AAC changes. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date on this page.
